How Yunus’s seeks to deny justice to minorities

In yet another brazen weaponization of false cases, Yunus led regime has unleashed propaganda campaign using media outlets to protect perpetrators of communal violence by shifting the blame on dissenters.

As part of its latest smear campaign Yunus’s Deputy Press Secretary Azad Majumder supplied a propaganda among a select group of journalists in whats-app group, describing a 28 year behind series of blasts and introduced him as Bangladesh Student League activist.
Over one year, scores of attacks including looting and forced conversion of Christian community members have been reported but no action has been taken by the regime. Yunus himself refrained from issuing statement in last one month despite three such blasts were reported targeting establishments associated with the community. But confronted with condemnation, the regime now seeks to shift the blame on Awami League with Yunus shedding crocodile tears.

This classic propaganda seeks to sell out the narrative of law enforcement that has been safeguarding pro Yunus forces who are behind communal violence and publicly has been running hate campaign against minorities.

This propaganda resembles similar effort to cover up illegal incarceration of Chinmoy Khrisna Das, a popular Hindu monk who has been languishing in jail for months merely for raising voice against regime’s policy to shield perpetrators of communal violence.

Worse, hundreds of minority lawyers and rights activists have been leading their lives in fear as these cops have falsely implicated them on motivated charges for raising voice over the regime’s continuous policy to patronize attackers of minorities. Even Yunus appointed spin doctors persistently demonized minorities as supporters of AL without protecting them despite growing call for justice in the face of scores of targeted communal violence.

Over a course of year, Yunus regime introduced a culture of impunity for communal violence by protecting the hardline Islamists. Since August 5 last year, minorities have faced thousands of attacks including killing and looting of worship places while hardliners are allowed to publicly run hate campaign against minorities since Yunus grabbed power.

With its latest drama by dragging Awami League, the regime stripped away the constitutional rights of minorities to fair trial, exposed total politicization of law enforcement to decimate Awami League and systemic emboldening for hardliners who are publicly running hate campaign to target minorities.
