In the Palakandi Tea Estate, located in the 9th Tilagao Union of Kulaura Upazila, Moulvibazar, a centuries-old Kali temple has been severely attacked by miscreants. On Tuesday morning, during worship, devotees discovered that the head and arms of the Kali idol had been shattered into pieces. This temple is not only a place of worship but also the center of identity for Hindu tea workers.
The state has utterly failed to protect the religious rights of minorities. Is this the Bangladesh where people of all religions were meant to live freely?
If we do not rise now, one by one, all the temples will become targets. Protest, speak up!
