For centuries, a crematorium at Ishwarganj upazila in Northern Bangladesh remained as a symbol of harmony and has been used by hindu communities to perform death rituals. But the crematorium was not spared from ongoing repression on hindus by Yunus regime. Recently, government owned bulldozer has been used to demolish the crematorium, by local government official with total impunity and without informing the minorities. Later minorities staged protest but to avail.
This sheer act of state sponsored terror on hindus by government officials stands as testament to the ongoing suppression on hindus, further intensified by the silence of the world community.
