Yunus’s Illegitimate Rule Democracy in Handcuffs, in the ICU

Bangladesh stands at the edge of a storm. Under the shadow of foreign influence, the illegitimate government of Dr. Yunus tramples over the state and the constitution. This regime was born from an anti-democratic conspiracy. Yet the people of this land — steeped in the spirit of the Liberation War, standing on soil soaked with the blood of our freedom fighters — will never bow to such despotism.

Recently, a sham trial has been staged: in a so-called ICT case, false evidence has been presented against Awami League leader Sheikh Hasina and the legal process has been set in motion. This is more than courtroom theatre; it is naked political vengeance. The judiciary is being weaponized to smear the mandate-bearing leader of the people. History will remember — those who drew up this farce, those who sit on the bench and give injustice a cloak of legality — one day they will stand in the dock of history.

Questions also swirl around Yunus’s legal advisor Asif Nazrul and his associates. Their stance is not neutral; it is the defense of a circle hungry for power. To thumb one’s nose at the constitution, to turn the judiciary into an instrument, to deny the people’s verdict — these acts prove this government is not legitimate but a direct threat to democracy.

The people of Bangladesh have shown again and again that they will not accept tyranny. Today they have poured onto the streets; from villages to cities echoes a single slogan — “Remove Yunus, Save the Nation.” This is not the cry of one party alone; it is the resonance of a national conscience. When the voice of the people unites, no force can silence it.

What this government does cuts beyond domestic politics — it tarnishes Bangladesh’s image on the world stage. An administration that moves at the nod of foreign powers endangers the nation’s sovereignty. Free Bangladesh is being turned into a bankrupt state where decisions are made by brokers, not by the people’s will.

Today Bangladesh stands at a turning point. For those who believe in the ideals of the Liberation War, the choice is clear — unless the illegitimate Yunus government is removed, democracy, the constitution, and freedom itself will be destroyed. The people have already awakened; resistance has begun. The tribunal of history will never pardon Yunus and his collaborators. Just as despots have fallen before, so they will fall now. The final word belongs to the people — and the people’s verdict will always be against tyranny.
