Yunus’s illegitimate administration yesterday arrested GM Shahabuddin Azam, the General Secretary of the Gopalganj District Awami League, from Benapole Checkpost Immigration while he was in a sick condition. His wife, Mariam, who was accompanying him at the time, was also secretly detained.
According to local sources and information published on social media, the couple was presented before the Gopalganj court the same night. However, it has been reported that they were not allowed any legal assistance — not even a lawyer was permitted to enter the court premises by Yunus’s illegal occupying administration.
