Shanto, 15, Dies Under a Truck While Trying to Save His Auto-Rickshaw from Robbers

At this age, a boy is supposed to be going to school, playing with friends, and dreaming about the future. But reality was different for Shanto. Hoping to support his family even a little, he took his father’s auto-rickshaw out at night to earn some money.

He did not know that this journey would be the last journey of his life.

Two men, posing as passengers, got into his auto-rickshaw. Perhaps Shanto thought he would get a good fare that night. But they were not passengers—they were robbers. When they reached a deserted spot, they pushed him into a roadside ditch and sped away with the auto-rickshaw, the only means of livelihood his father had.

    A 15-year-old boy…
    Climbs out of the ditch.
Seeing everything slipping away from him, he begins to run after the auto-rickshaw.

Just imagine it for a moment.
He was not running merely for a vehicle—he was running for the only source of income his father had struggled for, for his family.

But fate proved even more cruel. A speeding truck coming from behind ran him over. On the road itself, Shanto’s young life came to a tragic end.

Today, one question keeps returning again and again…

Why has the law-and-order situation in our country become so ineffective?
Why have robbers become so reckless?

The death of Shanto Kumar Saha is a brutal example of how badly law and order have collapsed due to the incompetence and inefficiency of the current BNP government. In a country where criminals have no fear, ordinary people face death every day. Crimes go unpunished, and offenders are rarely brought to justice. Instead, terrorists are now being openly patronized by the state.

Shanto is not just a name. Shanto is the reflection of the current law-and-order reality of this country.
