“What kind of program is this that blocks roads?” — a student, affected by the chaos, was seen protesting against NCP’s program with a poster carrying this slogan. That was his only “crime.” And for this “crime,” the police deceitfully told him they would drop him home, but instead tried to take him to the station. Sensing their malicious intent, the young man quickly got out of the vehicle.
Due to NCP’s road-blocking program, there were no cars or rickshaws available, and the student had to walk a long way. His mother is ill at home. What else can you call a ruler who interferes with the people’s right to free speech just to protect an unregistered militant political group, and resorts to unethical arrests whenever someone disagrees — if not a tyrant?
