Attack on Hindu Village in Pirojpur – 5 Injured, Including a Child! Is the Administration’s Silence an Accomplice to This Violence?
An armed group carried out a brutal attack on a Hindu settlement in Boro Harji village of Mathbaria Upazila, Pirojpur district. Around 4 PM, the attackers stormed into the Halder family’s home, vandalized property, and assaulted residents. At least five people, including a child, were injured in the attack.
According to locals, this was a premeditated assault, as the attackers had been intimidating the Hindu families for a long time, with the goal of seizing their land. Earlier, on August 5, 2024, the same property was fenced off, and the victims were threatened with death if they did not leave the country.
