Brutal Attack on Jitu Karmakar, Close Associate of Chinmoy Krishna, in Sitakunda — We are Stunned, Enraged, and Deeply Concerned

    Published on

The terrorist attack on Jitu Karmakar, a close associate of Chinmoy Krishna and spokesperson for the Sanatani Mahajot, in Sitakunda, Chittagong, is yet another clear proof of state-backed Jamaat-Shibir terrorism.

This attack was premeditated. The aim was to instill fear, silence, and systematically erase one voice of dissent after another.

Today, Jitu Karmakar is fighting for his life in a hospital bed. Tomorrow, who will it be? You? Me? Our children?

The minority communities in Bangladesh are living in constant insecurity. Religious identity has now become a reason to be targeted. And this hatred and violence are being condoned by the state’s silence, sometimes even with direct support.

This attack is not just an assault on a single Hindu activist — it is a slap in the face of humanity. It is an attempt to silence a patriotic, secular, dissenting voice.

We strongly condemn this brutal attack. We wish for Jitu Karmakar’s speedy recovery and demand the swift arrest and severe punishment for the terrorists involved.

How much more blood, how many more bodies, how many more cries will it take for conscience to awaken? Is Bangladesh not ours?
