Proloy Chaki, Cultural Affairs Secretary of the Pabna District Awami League and a prominent cultural figure, has died while in prison. This death is not a natural incident. Rather, it is another chapter in the planned “jail killings” designed to eliminate the Awami League.
The illegal Jamaat-backed fascist Yunus clique has turned prisons into terrifying centres of extermination to satisfy its political vendetta. Where the highest level of safety for detainees should be guaranteed, mysterious deaths of Awami League leaders and activists are occurring one after another. Afterwards, attempts are made to evade responsibility by spinning stories about “illness” and “medical treatment.”
This is not an isolated incident. It is part of a continuing pattern of state repression. Even earlier, several Awami League leaders and activists died while in custody, yet no incident has been investigated transparently. This silence itself is proof that this is not incompetence, but a deliberate fascist strategy.
The people of Bangladesh will not forget this injustice. These jail killings will be brought to justice. Those who gave the orders, those who assisted, and those who remained silent will not escape responsibility. History will bear witness. One day, the account for this blood will be demanded.
